Drill Here. Drill Now. Save Money.
by Jim Lynch ~ May 31st, 2008. Filed under: Congress, Conservative Principles. That is the name given to the petition drive at American Solutions. It’s content is simple:
We, therefore, the undersigned citizens of the United States, petition the U.S. Congress to act immediately to lower gasoline prices by authorizing the exploration of proven energy reserves to reduce our dependence on foreign energy sources from unstable countries.
As of this writing 230,494 have signed the petition in just 10 days. I bet we can make it a quarter million by the end of the weekend. If you agree with this common sense solution, please sign the petition.

As a contractor for ARCO. BP and Alyeska Pipeline in the late 80s and 90s, I totally support all drilling now both offshore and in Alaska. The oil drilling is highly regulated, down to the teaspoon, and believe me, the caribou do love the pipeline. I have witnessed live births in the grass under the line….made warm so there is no snow. I have watched those little ones struggle to get up within minutes and there is no threat to that birthing or their living in the shadow of the 48 inch pipeline of almost 900 miles right into Valdez.
The environmentalist have spoken little truth and mostly lies to the American people for years and now we are in deep trouble. I was there, and I know how oil and humanity do exist. The area around Atigun Pass is where ANWR oil will be piped in. The River will remain pristine.
The pipeline already exists, no rights of way need be sought. Drill now, drill in ANWR…I am tired of $4.50 gas. My retirement was supposed to be travel and fun, now I pay out because we have no refineries and no domestic oil but Prudhoe where I have also worked…..get with it Congress. Stop the boycotts, stop the stupid lying environmentalists, and think. for once, of us citizens….Ann in Carson

Environmental whackos have done their best to reduce us to living in log
cabins with candle light and wood burning stoves that produce big carbon
footprints! When will the madness stop? We need to drill here and do it
now, as well as building new high tech refineries. We need the spotlight
on global warming lunatics to offset their lies and half-truths. I’m not
against improving gas mileage, reducing polution, and recycling as much
as possible, however, a common sense approach needs to be taken in
implementing or removing regulatory requirements. History proves that
we can positively and rapidly solve problems without politics or self-interest.

I support the “drill here drill now save money” initiative.

I support the “drill now drill here save money” initiative. This will start a national effort and awareness to promote additional refineries and infrastructure along with our strong coal reserves to move us toward greater energy independence. Nuclear, solar and wind power options should continue to be explored, and should be supported as meaningful alternatives when their technologies prove to be efficient and affordable.
