Reclaim Conservatism

Hello.  My name is Doug Welch and most of you out ther might now me as Stix or Stix1972 on other blogs.  But I have joined this blog to get the Republican Party back into the conservative fold.  We have long had to endure squishy RINOs and other more centrists Republicans of late.   The GOP has lost its track and we need to get them back on track to a smaller govenment, less taxes and American values.  I know this year is lost for the Republican nominee for President, but that is no reason to sulk or to not vote or even vote fo the great Obama in November.   John McCain may not be the conservtive we are looking for in a Presidential nominee, bu he is a lot better than the Socialists the Democrats are throwing at us. 

So what are we to do.  Well, first off we need to get more conservatives involves with WEB 2.0.  What is that you ask???  Well you are reading something that belongs to WEB 2.0.  Blogs are part of the new frontier of politics, and as of now the Democrats have a edge on Conservatives.  Mainly they have got paid bloggers and big groups that run the board on other parts of the WEB 2.0.  That is the social networks.  DIGG, StumbleUpon, Technorati, Facebook, MySpace are just a few that I can rattle off at the top of my head right now. 

So one of the way to get conservatives back is to educate the conservatives ot there on what is going on in the WEB 2.0 world.  And I want you to know that we have a group that is getting together to try and get more people involved.  It is called the  Web Warriors of  Fort Hard Knox.  Righr now it is mainly a Facebook group, but we got a email newsletter that we are sending out to people that want to see what we are doing.   I will leave a place where you can join on the bottom.

Well I am not here to only advertise for my group, but here to see if we can get Conservatism back into the mainstream of the American public.   How do we do this????  Well, right now I am bloggoing on about 4 or 5 blogs trying to get the word out about the conservative causse and how the Liberals are going to bring our country into a danger and weaken our defense. 

Well, I just wanted to come by and say hi to the new adventure I got invited to do.  So I hope to see you around here and also visit my other blogs.  Stix Blog, Fort Hard Knox, Grizzly Groundswell and now here. 

I hope this didn’t sound too much like trying to advertise my other adventures, but I just wanted to introduce myself.   Mostly I will be cross posting here from Stix Blog, but I still do mainly post on Stix Blog.   But when I post a good one there I will also post it here.
