New Poll

On May 21, 2008, in Conservative Principles, Polls, by Jim Lynch

We’ve created a poll: Pick your top three items to Reboot the GOP

While all the items listed are important, it is impossible to do everything at once. What do you think the priorities should be for moving the GOP back to conservative values? The poll is located in the right sidebar.

If there is something we haven’t included add your comments here. You can also discuss your choices and thoughts in the forum.

  2. Dick Beldin says:

Conservatism means something quite different to me.

Conservatism looks at the foundations of our country, the American Revolution, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, separation of powers, balance of power among the legislative, judicial, and executive branches, financial conservatism which implies we realize that the federal government has no resources except those it holds and uses in the common good. Conservatism means we pay our own way, in our homes and in Washington. Conservatism means that no matter how many voices echo a refrain, its truth is not affected. Conservatism means that we own our history, good and bad, and we disdain loyalty to people when loyalty to principles is at stake. Conservatism means no man is above the law. Squirming to justify indiscretions is beneath us.
